GWG recommends using these guidelines with digital photography projects for print production.

The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) announced that new Digital Photography specifications are available for download, at no cost, at: http://www.gwg.org/learn/digital-photography/.
Two versions are available: “News Photography”, for newspaper production; and “Shootings”, for magazine and studio-quality production.
The latest GWG Digital Photography specifications, based on those of GWG member association Medibel+, give photographers and publishers a compact set of digital photography guidelines for print production.

These specifications will insure correct implementation of ICC color management and standards, which are essential to maintaining maximum quality from original capture through to the final, printed result.

«Recent developments in digital photography made an update of the GWG Digital Photography specifications necessary. In addition to improving processing and production guidelines to align more smoothly with the latest digital imaging applications, the download also includes best practices for professionals whose everyday work relies on outstanding production quality» says David Zwang, GWG Chairman.
