Award-winning UV technology: Packaging concept \u201cX-Press-U\u201c wins renowned design competition.<\/h4>\n

In the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2019, UV specialist and system manufacturer IST Metz has won the Red Dot in the category \u201cPackaging Design\u201d with its \u201cX-Press-U<\/em>\u201d packaging concept, which combines printing technology and culinary delights.<\/p>\n

IST Metz<\/strong> succeeded in winning over the international jury with its project in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2019. Based on the high design quality and creative accomplishment of the \u201cX-Press-U\u201d concept, the jurors awarded the sought-after Red Dot. Over several days, the experts had scrutinised, discussed and assessed a total of 8.697 international entries to the competition to ultimately select the best for an award.<\/p>\n

The \u201cX-Press-U<\/em>\u201d concept by UV systems manufacturer IST Metz takes UV printing and finishing techniques and combines them with culinary delights. The concept features a selection of coffee capsules paired with matching pralines, the creation of individual personas, and a printed paper sleeve with a highly sophisticated finish. As a visual representation of the symbiotic relationship between coffee and praline, the personas offer high recognition potential.<\/p>\n

Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award, explains: \u201cFor around 65 years, the Red Dot Award as one of the world\u2019s largest design competitions has been providing a platform for designers, agencies and companies to evaluate good design. I want to congratulate the laureates sincerely on their distinction, which both bears testimony to their convincing performance and highlights their quality and design leadership. Anyone who succeeds in such a strong and international bunch of competitors deserves to be proud of themselves and of their achievements.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
