With greater demand for shorter run lengths in flexography, there comes the need for accuracy and efficiency upstream from the press. Makereadies must be as quick as possible thus, plate mounting becomes a critical offline activity for flexographic printing—and, an even more significant tool if done automatically. The close collaboration between the SIT GROUP and GRAFIKONTROL continues in order to guarantee "high quality and zero defects" for the materials produced and used in the food packaging sector. The evolution of packaging market between digital and conventional printing

Eighteen months have passed since the appointment of Robert Stabler at the top of the joint venture Koenig & Bauer Durst GmbH, the company created for the production and marketing of digital printing systems for packaging, operational since 1st August 2019 (the news here).  In this period, despite the great difficulties related by the Covid-19 pandemic, the successes of the joint venture were not long in coming. And digital technology brings a new world of flexibility to many packaging markets, particularly in the corrugated industry.
