Nirav Shah, the company’s founder, who runs the business together with his son Sahil, Director of Letra Graphix, firmly believes in the reliability, build quality, responsive support and technological innovation of a company like Prati, which for years has been an irreplaceable strategic partner for the production, inspection and finishing of self-adhesive labels spanning cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, personal care, chemicals and household products. The new Saturn,” explains Sahil, “and it won’t even be the last, as we are already planning to install more in the future, will be used for label inspection, slitting and rewinding.”

We spoke with the technicians at Prati to learn more about this latest model. “The FASTCUT system will be integrated – an automatic slitting system that will enable our Indian customer to double production speed, further improving efficiency,” they told us.

This choice is linked to the various sectors it will serve: self-adhesive labels for agrochemicals, food, and in particular cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

This Saturn can handle multiple materials, including labels with PET liner.

The next-generation Saturn
Prati has introduced several important innovations to this machine, the latest unveiled at Labelexpo in Barcelona.

The evolution of the Saturn range gives customers great confidence, as today the market demands ever higher speeds and Prati is perfectly aligned with these needs.

In the SATURN Next, for example, the camera can detect a defect and automatically correct it. In the past, manual operator intervention was required, with the risk of discarding good labels along with defective ones.

Today, the machine removes only the defective label, and slitting and splicing operations are fully automatic. The result is waste-free production with 100% compliant labels. A real step forward, looking to the future of printing and finishing machinery. If printing must be excellent, so too must the finishing lines – the last stage before the label reaches the customer, and therefore the most crucial.
