SGI Dubai show, the biggest and most comprehensive exhibition catering not only to the signage and textile printing markets in the region and beyond, has once again attracted thousands of visitors marking once again another increase.

The 20th edition saw an influx of visitors from Africa and Southeast Asia thus underlining the international importance of the show. Printers from the region and beyond got introduced to the newest technology and innovations that the industry has to offer. Some exhibitors even chose SGI Dubai 2017 to launch their newest hard- and software onto the global stage.

Next to traditional printing and digital printing of signage, individuality and personalization were some of the most sought after solutions, especially in the area of textile and industrial printing. The trend towards unique solutions for individuals and companies in the hospitality, retail, architecture, clothing, and all over branding industry has started slowly in the last years. SGI Dubai 2017 saw a host of solutions for those seeking to differentiate themselves and a market, ready to adopt. No wonder then, that many architects and designers were among the visitors from near and afar.

Another new development – 3D printing – has already taken off in the region with many suppliers and distributors but also regional manufacturers researching this technology and how to implement it into their businesses.

From purely visible digital signage that caters to emergency situations to analysis of interest and target groups to personalized offers at your fingertip – with or without touch screen capabilities – those are technologies that are here to stay. Many visitors expressed increased interest in implementing these solutions.
