Lombardi Converting machinery srl, a renowned narrow web press manufacturer names RR PRINT A/S as their agent in the Nordic countries.

Heidi Graff, managing director of RR PRINT

During the past decades Lombardi – Italian company founded by dr. eng. Claudio Lombardi in Brescia, northern Italy – built a strong name in die-cutting equipment and installed over 1.000 machines worldwide. In the new century, the Company felt that the market was saturated and decided to invest in R&D for the flexo industry. During the past 10 years, Claudio Lombardi and his three sons managed to build a fast growing manufacturing capacity and provided he markets in South Europe (France, Italy, Spain), Middle East and Far East with lots of successful installations. These installations and the continuous contact with the clients, improved the technology of their flexo narrow web presses with new electronic devices and specific software in order to simplify the tas of the operators.
In 2014 Lombardi started to work also in the challenging western and northern Europe markets by the Hancock-RC Group in the Netherlands.
The co-operation with Lombardi came at the right time, since there is space in the market for a first class product at an affordable price, which means same quality as the established brands, but at a much better price although the manufacture site is still located in this industrial area of northern Italy and not delocalized to emerging countries. The installations so far, were very well received and offered more than our customers had expected, mentioned Henk Ockerse, CEO of the Hancock-RC Group and also owner of Van Zalinge Benelux BV, agent in the Benelux. “We are ready for further growth, especially now Lombardi is doubling its production capacity and also will maintain a permanent showroom to show the state-of-the-art technology in flexo presses and digital finishing equipment.”
The co-operation between the Hancock-RC Group, European master agent of Lombardi and RR PRINT was concluded by the end of 2016. RR PRINT is a company with a well-established network in the printing industry with the potential to extend our existing business with a well valued product in the Nordic countries, says Heidi Graff, managing director.
